I took the original picture at the Heard Museum in McKinney TX. We were on a family outing with Grandparents, Brothers, Sisters, Cousins, and a slew of Nieces and Nephews. The visit was wonderful fun with much running, laughing and joking. In addition we strolled through small patches of these tiny, beautiful flowers. They are the Dogtooth Violet. (Erythronium albidum) A member of the Liliaceae (Lily) Family. I've been pleasantly surprised at the macro capability of our little Nikon. This photo came out nearly technically perfect.
An awesome start requires little adjustment. I removed a number of minor discolorations in the flower and intensified its colors only slightly. The end result is as you view it.
